well, henzy david's back from a tiring and enjoyable day, from gameslab to minds cafe(again!) to suntec city, with Cyndi, Cherie, Vivien, Jaren, Daren and Joadine Dajie. but that's not the thing, the thing is, he's back with a controversial matter at hand that he's gonna blog about in a few seconds. like now.
a recent experiential survey shows that during the holidays, more and more DotA(defence of the ancients) players are becoming more and more vulgar, or negative. using phrases like 'fk noob' or demeaning, or cyber bullying people who are either new to the game, or just not used to it. calling and demoralising these people with the term 'noob', which means newbie, or new to the game. but sincerely speaking, that's not the thing that they're saying. instead, it's a cover up for stuff like "hey, you suck." or "don't make us lose the game" and the like.
truly, where are the real players, the true sportsman of the game that will not only encourage the players to become better, but at the same time help these guys to improve. or has the 'ah beng' gangsterism culture impacted the internet or games till that extent? here lies the big question which currently, is unanswerable. or maybe, there are solutions like, we can't do anything, just leave them be. but is that truly what we should be doing, shouldn't we instead be helping them to drop these mannerisms? this, is after all, one of the biggest unsolvable questions, yet, it serves as pretty good food for thought, cuz it's not only happening on the internet, but everywhere around you.
think about it people.
