met min for breakfast, then headed back to YISS for teachers day. the concert wasn't really that much of a big exciting thing that i thought it would be. it just seems to be as normal as all the other previous concerts. which is, unfortunate to say, boring. lol.

meeting teachers is still the selling point of going back to your secondary school on teachers day. but aside from that, there's really nothing much to talk about it.

here's a few pictures. and it was my class chalet after that.

we live, in a sea of consequences. the consequences of our own choices. notably, it is with our own knowledge and willpower that we makes these choices. but often with the exact same things that we neglect the consequences that are brought by the choices.

we've seen what we have become. we've embraced change, we've suffered much. we know that it is the consequence that we must bear. but we complain not. we will be strong, we will fight, for it is what we wanted, what we desired, what we strived for. for a world of change, to inspire, to encourage, to prove to them that they were wrong about their prejudices perspectives mindsets and stereotypes. it is a challenge to the world. but it has driven us close to the brink of insanity. is it worth it? we won't know till the end. why do we risk it? because we have total faith that what we do is not of us. we were never like this, never this strong willed or task-driven. but still, we will not allow ourselves to become stubborn, arrogant, indignant or the like. for we know we are still human, and we can still make mistakes. although, this is not an opening to say that whatever we have done are mistakes.

note to self: get yourself an ipod when there is excess resources.

my phone's down button, is currently malfunctioning. but it still can work. which i thank God for. =D

well. there is something that i want to post. marvel's biggest umm. wait, i don't know how to put this. but that's up to you to decide. haha. after you've seen the pics.

welcome, this current season ushers in the winter of Singapore. as the temperate climate here is to warm for frost, ice, snow and the like to form, we have heavy downpours instead. but for a taste of winter in this "sunny singapore", you can either head down to snow city, or hop on bus number 106, where the drivers are crazy enough to turn the air-conditioning way down low even on a rainy day.

not that i have anything against it, i'm just thinking, don't they feel cold? like, it was a freezer in there man. even with my jacket on i was shivering.
-sudden sidenote: i think video blogs are weird. imagine yourself talking to a web-cam. lol.

i'm enjoying school now, when everything's like going fine. but when it comes to assessment time, i don't know how i'll react. 2d homework left. color mixing = serious dislike.

you hold my every moment
calm my raging sea
you walk with me through fire
and heal all my disease
i trust in you
i trust in you
i believe you're my healer
i believe you are all i need.

interesting day. A2 drawing of interior, complete. tiger chocolate cream biscuits are good. haha. need more calcium, in other words, drink more milk. chocolate, or otherwise.

aside from notes to self, completion and foodstuff, there's just one, or maybe two, interesting points that i want to touch on tonight.

the first point is, does anyone ever wonder if humans are getting to accustomed to elevators and escalators so much so that they rely on them or choose to use them more than just taking the stairs which is notably a better, much healthier way of getting to another level. actually, i'm just considering this along with the air-conditioning complaint by that little girl somewhere along last week. aside from that, does anyone ever consider that walking is better than taking transport. i mean, this is just one point where i'm not lazy in, i walk almost everywhere. consider that i walk from bugis to lasalle to douby ghaut to orchard almost everyday. lol. ok. next.

was actually cleaning my fan just now, when i realised that rust, after prolonged periods of growth and exposure, smells like blood, thereby coming up with the term "bloodrust". which actually made me think that my fan had actually consumed something before, something alive.

well. one whole day has passed and so far, i've only completed half of my drawing stuff. next up, to finish the other half, which is an A2 sized indoor drawing in pen, and the rest of my 2d, the greyscale chart, and the black and white comparison charts. considering too that research also has to be done within this few days, before friday. which is the class chalet.

still considering alot of other things. mind's currently filled with thoughts.
whether or not to buy the animated series Megatron.
whether or not to go for the conference on saturday.
what decks to specifically use, centurions, blue riders, blue masters, shadow masters or ghosts. knowing that i'm not able to use a wide variety. i'm just now considering either the cents or the ghosts. lol.

well. guess it's more of a my own personal thoughts post tonight huh. NOT! take a look at this.
food consuming FAIL!

"We'll walk the shadows,
as darkness fades to light.
For ours is the knowledge,
that fears will take flight.
We pave the way, a guiding light.
Our angel guardian, He was right."

service was special, different, great, in a sense that there was this, difference, a change. a change in mindsets of people, a change in the way that we view people. i always knew pain as a teacher, yet what happened today taught me more than just the value of pain. but the value of one specific harbinger of pain in my life.

my father, seemingly, i never seem to speak about my dad. about how many people misunderstand the way that he does things. seems that i'm like a chip off the block. but i'm point today is just to tell how much i really do treasure him, a thank him, for the pain that has been ushered onto me. without this pain, i think i wouldn't be what i a today. the strong one, standing up for the things that i believe in. indeed, pain does make you stronger.

on a sidenote, one less serious and more relaxing. dinner was actually quite fun. lol. finally, along with Keith and Anthony, convinced Jessica to join us for dinner at Carls Jr. lol. stupid joke with the picture and founders. lol. found one decepticon brawl at simply toys which keith immediately bought. haha. and then it was home. after watching them world combat for awhile.

shopping with xin, ser and alvin. it was pretty ok. haha. saw a few shirt that i may consider getting. got myself the newest planetshakers album, and headed off for Nicolette and Jamie's baptism at TCT, bukit merah.

ìt was seemingly an enjoyable day. near-retardedness aside, i'll elaborate later. it was pretty nice. magical, misdirecting, and, well, tori-Q-able.

school, class was once again, enjoyably stressing at some point, abit relaxing for any other part of the body aside from your eyes and hands due to the reason that drawing was required. and well, cold. i wonder, has air-conditioning become so much a part of our lives that we can't live without it? and that makes everyone complain when there's no air-conditioning(even a 5-6 year old kid that i walked past on the street was complaining to the dad about it). like, damn! what's the world coming to? don't you know about global warming?

yes, for those people who are gonna flame me about air conditioning FYI, i use a fan at home even though i have an air conditioner. aside from my ability to turn my hands cold. lol.

well. why was today so near-retarded? cuz well. imagine with me, four classes from foundation level of my school lying on the frass(fake grass) of my school. it would look like this.
sidenote: this is also the image that's needed for IS journal. VS1I classmates take note. =)

but i had fun doing other stuff. like, well, levitating. images below.

so it was pretty much a cool day.

well, hasn't it been awhile. let's do a backtrack, the last time a fresh new post off the presses came out here was on the 13th of August, 6 days back. it's been almost a week since the last time that i blogged. well, that either means that i was lazy, or it means that i've been doing loads of stuff that i didn't have time to blog. currently, it's the latter.

list of things that have happened

Ivan's Birthday Celebration
sunday after service, we headed down to rocky's pizza at Sunset Way to celebrate Ivan's birthday together. haha. it was an enjoyable time of fellowship, with a boombox, two amplifiers and an equalizer. afterwhich, we headed down to the Daily Scoop, whereby they claimed that we had "smacked them in the face" by buying both their ice-cream and bn and jerry's ice-cream. haha.

the Boxhamut
i think some credits should be done for this segment. credits to keith, for a little(or more or less most of the) inspiration for the name. created out of Art Card, standing at 50 cm tall and 50 cm from nose tip to tail tip, the Boxhamut. a combined effort(more crediting) of Henzy David, Isabelle and Zhi Hong. it's pretty cool. i mean. that's all i can say. haha.

And Today
Met up with Ethan for lunch and to show him that print shop that he needed. didn't know printing a book could cost like $100+. lol. aside from that, i'm enjoying school. honestly, this year's workload is like, abit more reasonable than last year. but well, i wouldn't know, it's just the start of the year only. haha. well, enjoying my Transformers Animated Series! i want that Megatron! lol.

I've been busy the past few days. be it with school stuff, making new friends, meeting up old ones and strengthening relationships with close ones. school, has been a blast. aside from the workload, which I'm currently trying to cope with. and also devising and tweaking my body clock to get a bus down to school at the right time.

aside from that, I've also been recollecting my thoughts. running myself through various topics, subjects and perspectives. i mean, so many subliminal messaging around us, in our speech, body language, blogs. honestly, I'm drained. waging this war for years past has been tiring, but I'm not about to give up just yet. until the truth of the matter is revealed, and all things undone. then will i rest. i will not be like those of the past, giving in due to fatigue, or giving up hope because they thought it was not worth it. i will be the one who will show the world what it has to be. to stand against all that seeks to conform it to it's standards, or at least, give it the hope that it can.

Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Psalms 82: 3-4.

if we give in, nothing will change. if we give in, we will just become mere clones and copies of another. never lose your uniqueness, because that is what makes you yourself.

Happy 43rd Birthday Singapore! well. it's been a fun national day. not a routine one which goes like, wake up early, go to esplanade, 'chop' place, sit there and rot, watch fireworks, squeeze with crowd to get to bus or mrt, squeeze with crowd on bus or mrt, go home.

Soothing Sunrays
Henzy David

for me, it was different. woke up early too. but went to meet Ivan to get my items back, my A2 file and solids. the bus ride back and forth was actually quite relaxing as the bus was quite quiet and the outside scenery, ambiance was quite peaceful.

after that, headed down all the way to city hall area to meet up with Jasper, Junjie, Keith, Ben and Melvin for lunch at Seoul Garden. followed by walking around marina square, then to peninsula plaza and then to funan. had quite a nice time of fellowship with then nd kinda enjoyed myself pretty much.

lastly, met up with Ethan and went down to plaza singapura so as to evade the crowded city hall area. went through time crisis 4 again, and headed for the bus home around 9 so as to evade the traffic jam that would happen when the people from the NDP are released.

so it was pretty much of a meet up here, meet up there and meet up different groups of people day for me. my legs are pretty much killing me. but here are some interesting pictures for your enjoyment. haha. once again, happy brithday SG!

Day of His Power event at the Singapore expo. it was a long day after school, needing to rush down to Tampines to meet up for dinner was quite a little irritating for me. irritating in a sense that I've been in school since 9am in the morning, with a big A2 file. walking around the bugis area and then having to travel to tampines considering that the event would most probably end around 10 plus, meaning that I'd reach home around 11 plus 12.

well. the selling point were the people that i went home with, and this little piece of meaningfulness that i brought home tonight. everyone who went was given a piece of a puzzle, the white piece, symbolising oneself.

-i got a corner piece. the first thing that came into my mind, "Cornerstone".
-when asked to connect that piece of the puzzle to another white peice next to you, it seemed that my piece couldn't find anyone else. which related to me as my current situation - of only being able to fit with the appropriate pieces, the ones that were the side pieces- my situation in the society or community of people.
-and the most meaningful one. the word that was dead centre of the piece. "Shepard". which according to the sermon preached last sunday, can be translated to also mean "King".

guess going there wasn't such a bad idea after all. especially the conversation on perspectives and clashing characteristics.

"would you defend me, when the time comes for me to defend you?"

going to open cell tonight was not a bad decision, in fact, it was a good decision after all. it's a good feeling, to finally have your answers answered to the extent that you're speechless. satisfactory answers that leave you speechless are the best kind. but only when you're humble enough to admit to the fact that you've been proved wrong. it's a different feeling from being shot down, cuz you're allowing yourself to be open to answers.

so really, stop relying on yourself, and just have that simple faith to believe. if you're gonna worry about every single thing that's gonna come your way, then you're doing it by yourself and sooner or later, you're gonna break down.

---endphase---

well, just a few minor updates. namely one, i have gotten my watch. =D here's a picture, in widescreen! lol.

2nd August 2008

adlar's birthday celebration down at sentosa was, so to say, pretty successful and abit torturous - maybe even more than we reckon - for the birthday boy. as the videos are currently being uploaded to Youtube.com, we may not have them up tonight. but don't worry, it'll be up sooner or later. haha. just check back to this post whenever you view to check out the vids.

woke up at what? 6.30am, 赖床-ed till around 6.45, prepared, and headed out to meet Sihan at jurong east mrt station. saw a few JWSS students at harbourfront station doing flag day. remembered something, had breakfast at mac, took free salt, pepper, maple syrup and sugar and headed to the Sentosa Express to meet up with Vanessa, Jiaying, Albert and Yong Ming.

arrived at Siloso Beach(honestly speaking, Palawan is better, better toilets, facilities, etc). went down to the water, competed against Vege, Glenda and Sihan in who can stay underwater the longest, had Adlar unearth(dig up) his birthday present, tekan/sabo/whatever-you-want-to-call-it him(on the videos), got sunburnt, did things that you can do in sentosa. lol. then went off to Vivo City for dinner.

well. pictures. then videos. haha.

widescreen!
okay, all point up. lol.
where's tweety? preston got it right. lol.
tied to a tree. pity adlar man.

tying him to the tree. lol.

the 2nd video. this is the one where all the stuff goes on him.
