Day of His Power event at the Singapore expo. it was a long day after school, needing to rush down to Tampines to meet up for dinner was quite a little irritating for me. irritating in a sense that I've been in school since 9am in the morning, with a big A2 file. walking around the bugis area and then having to travel to tampines considering that the event would most probably end around 10 plus, meaning that I'd reach home around 11 plus 12.
well. the selling point were the people that i went home with, and this little piece of meaningfulness that i brought home tonight. everyone who went was given a piece of a puzzle, the white piece, symbolising oneself.
-i got a corner piece. the first thing that came into my mind, "Cornerstone".
-when asked to connect that piece of the puzzle to another white peice next to you, it seemed that my piece couldn't find anyone else. which related to me as my current situation - of only being able to fit with the appropriate pieces, the ones that were the side pieces- my situation in the society or community of people.
-and the most meaningful one. the word that was dead centre of the piece. "Shepard". which according to the sermon preached last sunday, can be translated to also mean "King".
guess going there wasn't such a bad idea after all. especially the conversation on perspectives and clashing characteristics.
